LifeNet Teachs CPR at Stillwater National Night Out

LifeNet teaches compression only CPR at Stillwater National Night Out.

Stillwater’s Annual National Night Out is an opportunity to promote involvement in crime prevention and to meet area first responders. This year’s event in Stillwater, Okalahoma was held in conjunction with the city’s “Friday Food Trucks & Tunes” event and saw a large number of people attend.

LifeNet staff had the opportunity this year to participate in the annual event by giving ambulance tours and teaching citizens about bystander CPR.

According to a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, a person in cardiac arrest who receives CPR, or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, from a bystander before emergency medical services (EMS) arrive is twice as likely to be alive a month later as someone who did not get bystander CPR.
